DNA Replication Simplified | DNA Replication Process | DNA Replication Process |
In this video , we provide a simplified breakdown of the DNA replication process. We start with the initiation phase, where specific sites on the DNA molecule called origins of replication are identified. Enzymes, such as helicase, then unwind and separate the DNA strands, creating a replication fork.

We explain the roles of crucial players, such as DNA helicase, , primase, DNA polymerase, and DNA ligase. These enzymes work harmoniously to ensure the accurate synthesis of new DNA strands. We clarify the distinction between the leading strand, which is synthesized continuously, and the lagging strand, which is synthesized discontinuously in small fragments called Okazaki fragments. We also talk about what happens when an error occurs during DNA Replication.
