With a new release on the horizon, Twyce is owning his lyrical versatility. Weaving together personal anecdotes and punchlines across rave-tinged production, the South London rhymer has honed a sound that is both nostalgic and future-facing.

Tracing his journey back to his local youth club, Twyce found himself surrounded by a plethora of musical influences growing up like Michael Jackson, Snoop Dogg, and Busta Rhymes, to rap progenitors like Giggs, JME and Skepta. Since then, Twyce is scaling new heights, inspired by the reach of mainstream success. Speaking on Ed Sheeran’s mammoth Wembley Stadium show, he reminisces: “I went there with a few of my friends, the atmosphere was just crazy. How he controlled the crowd and how he made everyone do what he wanted to do…that was the moment where I was like yeah, I need to get there.”

Tipped as a star by grime royalty D Double E, there’s little in the way of Twyce’s ascent as he sets foot on stage.
