38 years ago the tragedy at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant happened. It is one of the deadliest nuclear accidents in the world, leading to half a million people being resettled. Today is also the second anniversary of the first meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group. Russia is preparing to enlist more contract soldiers aiming to avoid at least for now another mass call-up and next mobilisation.
