CommSec’s Craig James says the US Federal Reserve is “not expected to change” its current interest rate setting at its meeting this week.

“The United States – a big focus on the United States,” Mr James told Sky News Australia.

“Thursday morning, our time here in Australia, we’ll get the latest observations by the US Federal Reserve on monetary policy.

“Not expected to change interest rate settings.”

The US Federal Reserve’s policy rate currently stands at the 5.25 to 5.5 per cent range.
