Shadow Finance Minister Jane Hume says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese being booed at a rally against men’s violence “speaks volumes” because he “couldn’t read the room”.

Mr Albanese was heckled at a ‘No More’ rally against men’s violence in Canberra over the weekend.

The rally was attended by 5,000 people.

“The women out there are hurting, and they want action, not words,” Ms Hume told Sky News Australia.

“They want actions, not platitudes.

“Quite frankly, the fact that the Prime Minister couldn’t read that room, I think, speaks volumes in itself.”
