A suspect refusing to comply is pepper sprayed by officer and thrown to the ground. Meanwhile, officers deal with all sorts of drunk and disorderly suspects, throwing them into side cells to sober them up. A bride-to-be has her rings cut off her swollen fingers as they pose a danger to the other inmates. Elsewhere, officers conduct a sweep of the jail cells to find makeshift weapons.

Jail is an American documentary reality television series that follows suspects in custody from booking through to incarceration. The show documents events in different jails across the U.S. Jail is the sister show to Cops, a show that follows police officers on patrol.
