Hello folks! Today the restoration is a surprise. I got the second find from my friend, he was joking again! Well, let's start restoring the knife, what?! A knife, I hope so.

So, I started removing dirt from the object, I spent about 25 minutes on it. By the rivets, I realized that it was a knife, approximately. After cleaning the dirt, I saw the whole blade. Very rusty, but I think everything will work out!

I removed the rust with a rust remover liquid, then washed, dried and cleaned the surface with a sandblaster machine. The next step is to adjust the cutting edge and shape of the knife. After that, I started sanding with sandpaper. After that, I moved on to etching the blade.
I used ferric chloride and a metal stamping agent to eliminate the occurrence of new rust on carbon steel.

Then we moved on to creating a knife guard. I used a piece of an old brass door handle. I used old dry walnut and brass rivets for the handle. After that, I made leather sheath for my knife, from natural leather piece.
As always, I conducted a knife test. I hope you enjoy this video of the restoration.

Sincerely, Alex. Thanks for attention!
Good luck and health to everyone! With best wishes, Alex!
