Do you know what the tallest mountain on our planet Earth is?

It's Mount Everest and it stands over 29,000 feet tall.
Mt. Everest is a part of the Himalayas, which are a huge mountain range that cover several different countries, which you'll learn about in this short video.

For many years people have wanted to climb to the summit or top of Mount Everest, but it wasn't until 1953 that two men were able to do it. Since that time many others have been able to climb to the top of Everest, but it takes a tremendous amount of training and time to prepare for it.

Climbing Everest isn't like trying to climb a big hill. When you reach the top of Everest, you're actually closer to outer space than you are to the ground.
