The BA-64 Armored Car (BA-64-125 prototype) designed by Vitaly Grachev was first demonstrated to Kliment Voroshilov on January 10, 1942. In May 1942, the BA-64 was officially adopted by the Red Army; in the summer of that year, armored vehicles took part in battles.
