Brazil to Buy Israel Weapons Despite Accusing it of “Genocide” in Gaza | Firstpost America

Despite criticising Israel for its war in Gaza, Brazil has decided to buy weapons from Israel. Earlier, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula De Silva said that Israel’s war in Gaza was a genocide. Lula also said that Israel’s actions in Gaza were very much like the Holocaust. Now, the Brazilian Army has picked Israeli firm Elbit systems to provide the Atmos-2000 howitzer self-propelled artillery systems in a deal worth almost $190 Million. Just like Brazil, Australia too has been critical of Israel’s war in Gaza and now they too are buying weapons from Israel including infantry fighting vehicles and air defence systems. Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden has doubled down on his warning to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against sending American weapons to Israel.
