Song: In The Heat Of The Morning
Artist: David Bowie (Read Discription!!)
Album: Bowie At The Beeb

So I found out today of the death of David Jones yesterday (11/01/16 - day after his passing).

I can't honestly say that I am a fan of David Bowie's music, his acting left more of an impact for me, He will be known as The Goblin King to me first - Davie Bowie to me second - and David Jones to me third.

A friend was heavily into David Bowie in our adolescence, I asked him "I don't know where to start with him, could you recommend some albums?". His reply was simply "Bowie At The Beeb" we ended the conversation there as if it never happened.

I took his advise and downloaded this album, I wasn't to impressed since I'm not a fan of Singer/Songwriter material yet this particular song has always stuck with me. It contains one of my favourite keyboard solos (I mostly play keys piano as a pastime), the solo comes and goes in a single moment yet for me will be remembered forever.

Everything about this song to me is a gem, I love the child like lyrics with a touch of Romanticism, the ending of each verse that has a beautiful twelve tonal diminish, the Wall Of Sound recording, the mystical concept of a "love song" that can come off as being obsessive and demanding; and as I said before, that keyboard solo.

May his family and friends grief in piece for his passing and for him to inspire many more artists.
