I was targeting Atlantic Salmon and Steelhead. I also took the opportunity to search and investigate a few places to put together a type of pattern:
1: the salmonids have moved deeper in most places, which is extremely early for them to do so in our region.
2. Trout are starting to eat gobies. (first year I've noticed it.
3. The Steelhead hot spots sometimes hold a pile of prespawn bass.
4. Most kagawong fish are egg munchers.
5. Our community bay population of trout target small minnows amd fry. imitate a 2-3inch baitfish and get a bite.
6. When you see a pike and he won't bite anything else try a leech. (I've seen leeches in the stomach of some I harvested)
7. Offer your tobacco for gratitude and give away most of your catch to elders and family who don't fish. (keeps you in the good graces of the Creator)

I hooked up with both my 6'6" and 8' ultralight set ups. Bottom bouncing seems to be the method that is producing the most bites.
These type of days are the times I live for. After the day was done I was exhausted and had the same feeling of joy that I had as an 11 year old who just came from a birthday party.
