On the surface, our ctrl session with T.I. and Blanco Brown was a sermon in duality: here are two distinct Atlanta voices, from two starkly different career paths. But feast your eyes on the performance and it becomes apparent that “Trap Still Bumpin” is all about seamless cohesion. Blanco, the country-trap pioneer behind viral dance sensation “The Git Up” has a theory about why he and Tip got on so well creatively. “We know exactly what we came from and the circumstances we went through.” Their connection runs deep. It was fun seeing them saddle up and ride horses through the ATL streets in the “Trap Still Bumpin” video, and it was just as fun seeing them ride the beat like two seasoned cowboys on our stage.
