In this episode, Bernie and Uvee Hayes share with me and my colleague, Dr. Roz Norman, their experiences as Black entertainment professionals during Jim Crow era America. We discuss the difficulties they encountered in the industry due to racism and oppressive tactics used to take advantage of Black American culture by white musicians, producers, managers and other white music industry professionals. They explain that it is an ongoing struggle, one that we must fight to overcome in harmony, together.

Special thanks to Bernie and Uvee Hayes
