This song - It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing) by Duke Ellington - was the grand finale of the 1984 festive special, and one of the most iconic ever done on the show. Everybody makes an appearance in the Pink Windmill: Rod Hull, Emu, the Kids, Grotbags, Redford, Croc, the Magnificent Fred, Princess Hortensia, Odd Job John and King Boggle, and they all have an almighty knees-up together for the one and only time.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Susan Maughan and Carl Wayne add so much class that it's a wonder they weren't asked to sing more on the show. Pity.

Anyway, this was first broadcast on 25th December 1984 and repeated on 26th December 1986. Many thanks to Jayne for lending me this tape.

(Please remember that this is an off-air VHS recording, so don't go expecting 1080p HD quality. I'm fairly certain that this video isn't commercially available, and I've uploaded it for its historic interest only. That said, if you are a copyright holder and object, please don't hesitate to contact me.)
