Sad news today from the wife of Gene Woody, that he has recently passed away. Gene was the overnight deejay for radio station WHB 710 in Kansas City during most of the 1960s when I was growing up. Gene held down this position while during the daytime hours attending med school to become a doctor. His wife informed me this morning of Gene's recent passing, and I humbly offer this video as a small gesture of appreciation for him being a part of my childhood...and I know, a part of the lives of many others who lived in Kansas City in the 1960s and were up all night listening to the great Gene Woody. One of the best of WHB's "World's Happiest Broadcasters."
