Over the Christmas break, I set off up to Northumberland in search of Cod. Having watched the weather forecast like a hawk for weeks, it was hit and miss whether it would be fishable or not. Regardless, I set off up North and arrived around 10am, where 70mph winds were battering the coast.
We made the decision to chill out a little, and wet a line from the cars in Blyth Harbour. Fishing with 2 rods, the Akios Fury's, I set one rod with small hooks and a flapper rig, and the second rod with a slightly larger hooked loop rig.
It was a fish per cast, a real fu, busy little session, which kept us entertained for an hour or two whilst the wind changed direction in time for us to head out to a beach mark that evening.
Thanks for watching, take care and tight lines.
