I bought this pre-amp, because I needed to run the phono through the AUX on the Bose CD/Console, since the Bose 901s require the special power EQ to drive the speakers, and that is in line from the input switch, (CD player with AM/FM receiver, AUX input and Tape loop though.)
So in theory, I should be able to come from the Phono to the Pre-Amp, to the AUX input and be right as rain, right?
Well yes and no...
The Pre-amp has issues.
I will cover this in the video.
I would show you all the RTA Graph output and that, but I really don't want to review the product so much as show my issue with it.
The RTA Graph had... lets say a bit wider of a discrepancy than the tolerance silk-screened on the top of the unit. But again, that is not why I am making this video.
I am getting a 60hz hum, and muffled audio when it is connected "correctly" through the MC (Moving Coil) inputs, but when I use the MM (Moving Magnet) inputs... it sounds right.
Also there is an overall lack of amplification to the output of the unit.
I paid just over 80$ for this unit, specifically for the MC cartridge that the Beogram uses.
