So this tree is already dead if you can't tell. I moved into this house a few months ago and every time there is a storm I was thinking this tree was going to fall over. I called a guy to see how much to cut this down along with trimming another large tree that's still alive, but he was going to charge me $1,400 despite me telling him I wanted to keep the wood for my fireplace for the winter.
so months later (now) went to buy a $200 chainsaw to cut it down.

as you can see my caution every time I cut, pause, and then cut again where I was judging, which was I was leaning and how much I needed to cut.

my neighbor came out and saw me cutting this tree down at the end and the last one was leaning more on his side, and I was trying to keep it from falling on his property.

it feel and just graze the fence and did not hit his garage.

keep in mind this is my first time cutting a tree down lol...I did call the electric company since it was also near a power line but they said it was a major problem.
