Lawyers angered by a provincial government's decision to move the location of some courts to a different building clashed with police during their protest in Pakistan's Lahore on Wednesday (May 8).

Police used tear gas, a water cannon and batons to disperse the protest.

The regional government of Punjab said moving the location of the courts will help ease the traffic congestion in the city.
