"Mulholland Drive" was partially inspired by Billy Wilder's 1950 film, "Sunset Boulevard". Also, "The Twilight Zone" episode from S01E04 seemed to pay homage to Billy Wilder's film. (Note Parody): Rod Serling's narration plays over a scene in "Mulholland Drive". (Read Below):

FYI: This sequence has been shortened for time... The audio after 0:35 has been remixed and edited between cuts. (I've also added an extra cross dissolve at 1:25).

The Twilight Zone logo from season 3 plays with ambient sounds from Lynch's film at the end. Also, Serling's voice sample during the end is from S01E08 - "Time Enough at Last".
