This is a film by Michael Byrne and Nigel Hodgson about the Robert Helpmann ballet, Miracle in the Gorbals, whichwas first performed in 1944, and then in 1958. The ballet was never recorded on film, and just a few photographs remained. David Drew MBE, 50 years with the Royal Ballet and who performed in the last production in 1958, was determined that this ballet should not be lost, and, from 2011, got together the last five remaining dancers from that 1944 performance. This is the remarkable story.............
