In this super quick excel tutorial video, I'll show you how to automate row numbers in Excel.

Using the ROW function allows you to add or delete rows without messing up the row numbering.

If you manually enter row numbers to your tabular data, and then you delete a row or rows, the row numbering will not update. However, if you use the ROW function, the row numbering will be updated if you delete or add rows to your tabular data.
