Written and directed by SNL alum Julio Torres and loosely based on his own immigration story, #Problemista follows Alejandro, a toy designer from El Salvador living in New York. His visa is set to expire, leaving Alejandro scrambling for a way to stay in the country. Soon, Alejandro rests his only hope on the back of his erratic employer, art critic Elizabeth (Tilda Swinton), leaving Alejandro to wonder if he can withstand her odd world until his visa gets renewed.
