Where is a safe sight?
The illusion, pollution,
smoke and toxin obscuring the soul.
Be cause, of pain.
The navigation between time and space.

Can you imagine being in so much pain that all there is to do is find a drug? You need a safe space. You can't just take away space, take away everything, take away life, and then say "you're against the law."

What is a safe use site?
The illusion, pollution,
smoke and toxin obscuring the soul,
because no safe use sites are provided
anywhere..

It makes it seem like pain is illegal. Black and indigenous people. Queer. The politically rejected. The socially rejected. The religiously rejected. All such beings rejected by history need safety. But if there is no safety in society, they're going to need relief. They're going to need toxin.

I've heard people describe when they walk past someone who they call a drug user, who is sitting on the street listening to music, and they're rocking back and forth. They might even be listening to the song, again and again on repeat. Why are they looking for some relief in the same place? It's because they don't want to leave the Earth. They want to live. They want to succeed. They want to thrive. They want safety. Imagine being called a wacko as the Prime Minister, because you're thinking about safe sites.

Imagine being the leader of the Conservative Party. And when the Prime Minister says we have to consider what safe use is, we have to consider who needs safety, why people are using drugs. Considering that Black and indigenous people are overemphasized in prison, mental health, addiction settings and institutions, that the Prime Minister was simply yelled at again and again by the entire conservative caucus before they walked out for blackface. Yes, it's important, but so is the present moment.

You know what else continuing to dance through the night helps one do? Moderate the alcohol consumption. Imagine in bars and clubs, they said: "Haha, you're no longer allowed to, Dance. You have to stay at the bar and you have to swim a few laps in that Olympic Pool, you know.. Fill a swimming pool full of liquor and dive in. Dive in, dive in..

Imagine that a club where you can be inside, where you don't want to drink too much, because you'll lose the ability to dance longer. Thus, that place to buy booze that is so dark and noisy is somewhat, somehow a safe place for an alcoholic. Strange. How does an alcoholic find safety? Having, uh, 1 or 2 shots, before they turn it up a notch? Hmmm, I just need..

Imagine that you have an incredible pain, an incredible injury. You need the most pain relief you will ever need again. Because you need to heal, you need support, but you get no support. You don't get adequate repair to the injuries at site. You don't get enough painkiller. You're left with chronic pain. You need ongoing painkiller. And then they say you must find abstinence, you frickin' criminal addict.

Safe use SIGHT?

My experience in this world has left
me with an unquenchable thirst
for clean water, an insatiable need
for nutrition. I require a safe
use reality for my consumption.
