The film features Sanjay Kapoor, Priya Gill, Sushmita Sen, Simran Bagga and Jackie Shroff. The movie was filmed in Nainital, Kerala and Houston. It is a remake of the National Award-winning Tamil film Kadhal Kottai which was also remade in Bengali as Hothat Brishti, directed by Basu Chatterjee in 1998. The film was a box office success.
