Jesus, the one who says, ‘learn from me,’ instructed us very clearly with these words ‘I’m the vine you’re the branches,’ ‘Abide in me,’ ‘Apart from me you can do nothing’… that’s a clear message. Abide, stay, remain. Keep yourself at that place of fellowship and dependence and you will bear fruit.
That fruit will grow naturally and in season. It won’t come by striving or taking shortcuts and it certainly won’t come by trying to hurry up the process or coming up with an alternative plan.
