My name is Joanna. I have a speech disorder called Speech Apraxia. Apraxia is a speech sound disorder where one has trouble saying
words correctly. The brain knows what it wants to say, but cannot say the sounds properly. I am educating people on what it's like living with Speech Apraxia or any disability, but I am focusing on my disability the most.



I thought this needed to be talk about and bring attention within the speech disorder community.

Some people may not put this together but speech disorders and milestones do certainly go together. In my apraxia journey, I reached apraxia milestones! Here are some of the apraxia milestones that I reached.

It is so important to celebrate every milestone that your children have achieved with their apraxia no matter how small, big, or silly it is because it is so important to let your child know how well they are doing with their apraxia above all you want to keep encouraging them to use their wonderfully made voice!
