He had been hospitalized at NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst with COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic in March.

Yet he kept hope alive, and thanks to the tremendous support of our Elmhurst staff, Jose was discharged to a rousing applause from staff members and hospital CEO Israel Rocha.

This clap-out ceremony was the perfect way to kick off a joyous holiday weekend!
