The NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull Behavioral Health Department has been working collaboratively to support the frontline staff battling COVID-19 as well as providing the much-needed mental health care to the community during these difficult times.

“Lean on Me,” essentially the anthem of community support, was the perfect song for the department to express their gratitude and hopefulness while inviting staff who have been struggling during the pandemic to “call on us” to get the support they need.

The department is full of musical talent, high spirits and a strong willingness to engage and be there for each other. This video was meant to depict this energy, inspire hope and communicate to the staff and the Brooklyn community that they can “lean on us.”

The song was written by the great Bill Withers, who recently passed away and we wish to continue spreading the love this song has planted in so many hearts.
