Shri Ram and Lakshman reach the Tadaka forest, where they are confronted by the demoness Tadaka. Maharishi Vishwamitra discloses her past as a Yakshini. Shri Ram finally ends Tadaka and grants her Moksha. Subahu and Maricha, Tadaka's sons, mourn her demise and pledge vengeance.
