My name is Joanna. I have a speech disorder called Speech Apraxia. Apraxia is a speech sound disorder where one has trouble saying
words correctly. The brain knows what it wants to say, but cannot say the sounds properly. I am educating people on what it's like living with Speech Apraxia or any disability, but I am focusing on my disability the most.

Imagine being judged by people when you often go out in public for a diagnosis that you have no control over. Imagine the harsh comments from a typical adult jumping to assumptions without even realizing that a disabled person who is at a higher level can understand.

Disabled people have to face judgments and assumptions because we are seen as “different”

We want to be seen as just humans!

We will continue to be wonderfully made and will continue to educate and encourage typical people to include us!
