King Dashrath performs a Yagya in hopes of getting blessed with a son. The three queens receive offerings from Agni Dev. After capturing Lanka, Ravan challenges Lord Shiva and gets punished for his arrogance. Ravan decides to pray to Lord Shiva in order to make up for his mistake. Lord Shiva is impressed by Ravan's devotion and grants him a divine weapon.
