The San Francisco Historical Society exists to uncover, preserve, and present, in engaging ways, the colorful and diverse history of our city from its earliest days to the present.

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the story of one of the world’s great cities: San Francisco.

* Panorama – the Society’s quarterly newsletter announcing programs and activities and featuring historical articles and book review
* The Argonaut – our semiannual journal of original articles about San Francisco history
* Free admission to monthly programs, featuring presentations on remarkable aspects of San Francisco history

* Guided walking tours of San Francisco neighborhoods and districts and the Barbary Coast Trail
