A new clinical trial compared cardio to weight training for glucose control. The results were unexpected.

The primary outcome was HbA1c (hemoglobin A1C), an average of glucose levels over the previous 3 months. A model of type 2 diabetes and glucose control is proposed tying in fat mass, appendicular lean mass and glucose metabolism.
