This SFHS feature for Black History Month is an oral history by Darrell Rogers, a San Francisco native born in 1945 in the Fillmore. In this short video Mr. Rogers talks about his involvement in the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) and its nonviolent efforts to integrate San Francisco businesses and force them to hire Black employees during the early 1960s.
