I have been meaning to revisit this cover for so long now, but I kept putting it off. It's... actually a really hard song to sing, especially in the original key! But I finally had the idea to pitch it so I could sing it an octave lower. I'm no professional singer, but I think you'd say I'm an alto? Anyway, this key was a lot easier for me to sing it with the emotion it needs, without straining my voice! The lyrics are also updated from the last time you would have heard them. This is also a really special cover because it was the first song I ever covered on this channel back in December 2013. I was sixteen back then and really new to singing. I even pitched up my voice so it wouldn't be recognisable, since I was so embarrassed about it! I'm glad I kept up it, because (in my opinion, at least) I've come miles in my improvement over the last eight years. I even have the confidence to sing in public, which you would have NEVER caught me doing back then. So to all of the viewers who have left the most lovely, constructive, supportive comments... I really can't thank you enough. I hope you'll stick around to see what the next few years may bring. Hopefully no more covid... yeah, that would be nice.
