If you're familiar with David Lynch's, "Lost Highway" - you may enjoy my combined edit of the first and last scenes blended together. (Note: The movie can also be difficult to follow in its original state). This could be what David Lynch was aiming for at the beginning of the film. (Read Below):
FYI: I edited and mixed the dialogue, and some sound effects (car doors closing, alternate music during the chase, etc.) Here's a few time references for most of my edits. (Approx. Time):
1. (0:12) Bill Pullman's doppelgänger contacts himself.
2. (0:35) Strange message delivered by the doppelgänger at 0:40 .
3. (0:44) Eventually cuts back outside to the other scene.
4. (0:53) Alternate music sampled from a different part in the film.
5. (0:58) Car doors synced from "Arnie's Autobody" in the film.
6. (1:14) Mixed sound edit to match the detective's police car siren that is only audible in the background during the opening.
