Ingredients:
Onion 1
Olive oil
Chili pepper
salt
Beef 500 g
Sweet pepper 1
Smoked bacon 100 g
Parsley
Eggs 1
black pepper
Breadcrumbs 3 tablespoons
Vegetable oil
Directions:
Place the minced meat in a large bowl, add the lightly pan-fried onion and chilli pepper, the chopped pepper and smoked bacon, the parsley, the eggs, the pepper and the breadcrumbs.
Eggs and breadcrumbs are essential for binding the meat. Thanks to their moisture content, eggs help keep the meatballs nice and tender.
Use your hands to mix everything together but don't overwork the meat. If you overdo it you risk having tough meatballs. Instead, gently work the mix until well combined.
Once you're happy with the beef mixture, lightly shape the meatballs. But no matter if you decide to make them big or small, we recommend keeping them all more or less the same size. Otherwise they will cook unevenly. Coat the meatballs in the breadcrumbs by rolling each in the breadcrumb mixture until each side is coated.
Add vegetable oil to a skillet over medium heat. Place the meatballs in the hot pan. Cook, stirring constantly, until you reach the desired doneness and place them on a baking tray.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200 C for 15-30 minutes (the cooking duration depends on the size and weight of the piece) until they are evenly cooked and golden.
Serve the meatballs immediately and enjoy your meal!
