While very little is know of the early history of House Cargyll it does not mean they do not play a huge role in the history of Westeros and the Crownlands. Namely though the twins Ser Erryk and Ser Arryk Cargyll, whom were legendary knights of the kingsguard during the Targaryen civil war known as the Dance Of The Dragons in which each brother choose a different side, Erryk chooseing Rhaenyra Targaryen and Arryk King Aegon ii. There duel on dragonstone would become the stuff of song and legend meaning House Cargyll will always be remembered in the history of the seven kingdoms.
