I wrote this song about a comic book artist working at Office Max. My brother used to work there & one day he brought home a laminated sharpie drawing of Batman that one of his co-workers made. Suddenly all I could think about was an artist trapped in a stale world of office supplies. I imagined a character with a whole universe in his head, doing everything he could to make his dream real without any outside proof that it could work. I think that’s any of us when we’re trying to create or change things in our lives. I never met the guy who inspired this character, but I’m really grateful he took a minute to make something that day. It's kind of crazy to me how we can light each other's hearts up without even knowing it's happening. Keep going. ❤️
