I recorded this version of The Zombie Song to thank anyone who is discovering (or still listening to) the original in 2018 ❤️ People have mentioned finding it through some new animation videos lately. It’s crazy to me because I remember wanting so badly to be able to commission a fully animated video for this song in 2011 but only having $200 to create the lyric vid myself w/my then-14-year-old-cousin Maddy. Now creating animations for the song is becoming a regular thing people do to share their art style or unique take on the song & it makes my heart so happy. It’s also a solid reminder that (when it really comes down to it) we don’t get to decide when or how our creations will reach people once we release them into the wild. I think that’s actually half the magic of it all. Keep going. 💀💖
