Ceasefire is an emotional commentary on the state of world affairs; how we so often choose warfare over peace and contention over unity. The lyrics also serve as a parallel for interpersonal arguments in our relationships and how we tend to escalate seemingly trivial disagreements to the point of sabotaging connection in service of our pride. The track features organic instrumentation combined with glitchy electronic elements and heart-wrenching vocals. The dynamic starts soft but slowly builds into an explosive climax.
