To make mackerel rillette:

Fresh-frozen mackerel - 1 pc. (weight of a whole fish is about 500 g)
Carrot - 1 pc.
Onion - 1 pc. + 0.5 pcs.
Salt - 0.5 tsp
Bay leaf - 1 pc.
Peppercorns and allspice - 3 pcs.
Mustard - 1-2 tsp
Cream cheese or sour cream 20% - 100 g

1. Clean the fish from the insides, cut off the head and tail.
2. Put fish, onion cut into quarters, carrots, spices in a saucepan, pour water, salt, boil for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and let stand for another 15 minutes.
3. Remove the bones from the fish, chop it with a fork. Add cream cheese (sour cream), mustard and very finely chopped onion (0.5 pcs.)
4. Stir, salt to taste, let it brew in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
5. Very tasty served with toast and cucumber - fresh or pickled.
